In 1997, a school board was formed in the Pequea Amish Mennonite congregation with the purpose of starting a school on the church property. During the summer of 1998, a small, double-wide type building was placed on the west side of the church building. The school year began in the fall of 1998 with 2 teachers and 16 students. The second year 25 students were enrolled at Pequea Christian School.
Today Pequea Christian School has 105 students and 12 full time staff. For curriculum, we use CLE Bible, Saxon & CLE Math, A Beka Science, Faith Builders Living History & CLE History among others. We are an assistant to the church and home in developing the student’s God-given talents.
